Non-EU citizens with a long-stay visa must get their TIE within one month of arriving.

Step by step
Book 'Toma de huellas' (fingerprints) on the cita previa website
Bring passport, visa, padrón, photo, form EX-17 and paid fee
Return to collect the card about a month later
What to bring
- Passport + a copy
- Form EX-17, filled in
- One recent passport-size photo
- Fee form 790 code 012, paid
- Your visa or authorisation letter
- Appointment confirmation (cita previa)
